Started with PT. Kayu Mukti Timber in 1986 in forestry business, during the peak period, own about 250,000 ha of logging concessions and had 4 logging operations in the West Kalimantan, Maluku and Papua.
In 1990 the Group founded PT. Masari Dwisepakat Fiber (MDF) producing 8,000 m3 Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) per month.
At 1996 the Group also initiated a new business line of Palm Oil Plantation via PT. Swadaya Mukti Prakarsa (SMP), by 2009 grown to approximately 13,000 ha with planted area of about 10,000 ha and had one operating palm oil mill with total processing capacity of 45 tonnes per hour. Later was sold to third party at hefty price during the peak of palm oil cycle and the windfall from this sale fuel the Group’s growth significantly.
Today, the Group’s business is mainly in forestry, palm oil plantation, and wood process industry (MDF, Plywood, and Veneer).
Palm oil plantations are all located in West Kalimantan, has total HGU of 32,000 ha, with over 16,000 ha has already been planted. One palm oil mill with total processing capacity of 45 tonnes per hour, and is in the process of building another mill with same capacity, which is planned to operate in 2021.
The Group's oil palm plantations currently have a relatively young oil palm profile with significant potential for production growth in the coming years as they continue to mature and reach peak production.
